PM SHRI KV IIMC JOKA, KOLKATA has a NCC Trop of AIR NCC attached with 4 WB (Tech) Air Sqn NCC since April 2010 under the commendable guidance of Chief Officer A K SINGH,
Associate NCC Officer. NCC focuses on the development of the cadet at the physical, mental, social and intellectual levels. It inculcates the qualities of courage,
fellow-feeling, discipline, leadership and a secular perspective. It also instills a spirit of selfless service, sportsmanship and untiring dedication to duty.
The objective of NCC is to create human resource through organizational training of goal-oriented youth, who can assist and serve the Nation.
There are 50 JD/JW cadets (25 cadets in second year and 25 cadets in first year) in this troop. Physical and Theory both training activities are imparting twice in week
during training session throughout the whole acamedic year. NCC is an organization which is committed to train young minds the dignity and valor of adventure and discipline.
It not only train young minds the lessons of discipline and service but the Certificate earned in NCC is itself beneficial in plethora of ways.
Bharat Scout and Guide activities at KV IIM Joka, Kolkata, aim to instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities among students. Regular sessions focus on essential life skills such as first aid, camping, and environmental awareness. Students participate in various events, including community service drives and cultural programs, fostering a spirit of service and patriotism. The school organizes outdoor camps and adventure activities, enhancing physical fitness and confidence. These initiatives nurture students to become responsible and self-reliant citizens.
